There's so much keeping us alienated from our true selves. Our lives are impacted by systemic oppression, generational trauma, cultural pressure, relationships, and even ourselves - interactions that cause harm and leave us feeling unsafe and unseen. The symptoms of these impacts, if not annihilating, leave us disconnected, discouraged, drained. I believe that therapy is a process of changing our relationship to ourselves and our experience so we can transform our presence in the world around us. We have much to heal from and the more we’re aware of our systems, selves, bodies, and triggers the better we are at living.

Licensed Professional Counselor, MSCP, LPCMy name is Abhishek (he/him) and I’m a South Asian transplant in KCMO. I welcome folx of all identities and intersectionalities especially BIPOC engaged in activism work and those struggling with belonging and identity. As a person with my own intersections of privilege and oppression I work to show up authentically so that you are empowered to do the same.
I know from experience that reaching out to a therapist can be overwhelming. With the right support and resources the healing process is fruitful, life-giving, and so worth it. Let’s determine if I’m a good fit for you. It would be my honor to accompany you on the journey.
